Step 1: Prepare the design

The vinyl arrives in a roll to accommodate shipping, it may make it easier to work with if you flatten the design until it keeps its shape. 

 Step 2: Position the design

Starting with a clean, dry surface use masking or painter’s tape to position your design.  For some designs, it is a good idea to align a level with the bottom of a line of type. Reposition the sheet as needed until the text is level. Words, letters, and art can be cut apart and positioned as needed.

Step 3: Peel away the backing paper

Using the tape as a hinge, flip up the sheet of vinyl and pull away the backing paper.

Step 4: Adhere the image to the wall

Using a flat, flexible object such as a rubber spatula or a credit card, firmly rub down the entire surface of the see-through paper. Be sure to press out any air bubbles from underneath the design.

Step 5: Peel away the transfer paper

Keeping the transfer paper flush with the wall, bend back one corner of the see-through paper and peel it away slowly at a sharp angle.  Occasionally the vinyl will want to stick to the application tape. Gently coax it with your fingernail away from the transfer paper and continue peeling away the paper.
